The countries that consume the most coffee are located in the north, 70% of which are industrialized nations.
Coffee is produced in more than 50 countries and represents a worldwide economic stake because of the employment it creates.
The country’s producer’s turnover is equal to €15 billion per year.
In 2011/2012, 130 million bags of 60kg each have been produced, which represents a decrease of 2,4% vs. 2010/2011.
